Read all about it! Digital giant Google welcomes Bridging Directory into its fold

Bridging Finance

We’re celebrating another milestone here at Bridging Directory — we’re now rubbing shoulders with the likes of The Financial Times, The Guardian and The Independent, to name but three, as an accredited news source with digital giant Google.

The prestigious organisation has recognised our website as one of delivering insightful, reputable and trustworthy content, and as a result now indexes us with leading news sources.

Google is the online search engine that processes more than 40,000 search queries every second; that’s 3.5 billion searches per day — and our bridging finance coverage is very much part of that astronomical number.

It’s an incredible step for us given that we’re a a year into our journey; and the development comes following a huge boost for us in late 2017 when we were rewarded for our hard work with a pat on the back from Apple News.

Through my experience in main stream media as a journalist I know only too well that being as visible as possible online is crucial. To be considered as an authoritative news source by Google News is a huge achievement. Google is one of the biggest online authorities and we are very much encouraged by their endorsement of what we are doing.

The bottom line is that our stories will attract even more exposure and subsequent coverage we accrue as a source will further deliver that news. There are so many benefits. And as far as recruitment is concerned that can only be an enticement to attracting writers from within the industry who want their work to have as big as online audience as possible.

Ryan Ewen, Head of Digital at FMG – the tech company behind Bridging Directory, says he is overjoyed at the news. He said: “It’s another feather in our cap and we’re obviously delighted that a massive organisation such as Google has deemed us as a reliable news source of trust and integrity.

“It’s only the beginning of what we know we can achieve. Our intention to be the leading online resource for bridging finance is edging forward.

“Information is everywhere on the internet but much of it is unreliable. Google collates stories with integrity meaning that a reader can be sure that they have picked reputable sources of information. We’re chuffed to be part of this.”
